Understanding Diligence and Integrity:

The Power of Self-Awareness:

Understanding Ourselves through Mental Functions in Buddhism:
In Buddhism, mental functions play a crucial role in understanding ourselves and our actions. The five Universal Mental Functions (Attention, Contact, Sensation, Perception, and Volition) interact with the five Particular Mental Functions (Intention, Determination, Mindfulness, Concentration, and Insight) to shape our thoughts, behaviors, and experiences.
Through the interplay of these mental functions, we can investigate the root causes of our actions and discern their ethical implications. By cultivating mindfulness and insight, we develop the ability to observe our thoughts and intentions with clarity and objectivity.
Week 5 Meditation Practice:
In our meditation practice this week, we will explore the power of self-awareness in understanding our intentions and aligning them with our values. Through guided mindfulness meditations, we will shine a light on our actions, thoughts, and motivations, bringing forth a deeper understanding of ourselves.
