In this empowering week, we delve deep into the transformative practice of embracing worthiness by nurturing diligence and integrity in all aspects of life. True self-esteem and authenticity arise when we align our actions with our core values and goals, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Workshop Dates & Location:

- Date: 11/10/2023

- Time: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM

- Duration: 1 1/2 hours

- Location: The Sacred Space, Summerland, CA

Understanding Diligence and Integrity:

At the heart of building self-worth lies the commitment to diligence and integrity. Diligence encompasses conscientiousness, dedication, and perseverance in our endeavors. It is the unwavering effort to bring our best selves to each moment. When we approach life with diligence, we cultivate a profound sense of self-respect and pride in our achievements.

Integrity, on the other hand, involves living in harmony with our core values and principles. It is the congruence between our thoughts, words, and actions. Knowing our intentions behind the things we do and don't do is key to that practice. As we embody integrity, we build trust with ourselves and others, creating meaningful connections and enriching our sense of self.

Coherent Code of Conduct:

To embrace worthiness fully, we must establish a coherent code of conduct that resonates with our authentic selves. This code becomes our compass, guiding us towards ethical decisions and actions that align with our higher purpose. With diligence, we uphold our commitments, honor our responsibilities, and pursue our goals with unwavering dedication.

The Power of Self-Awareness:

Self-awareness serves as a pillar in the practice of building self-worth through diligence and integrity. As we deepen our self-awareness, we gain insight into our intentions and motivations behind our actions. This awareness allows us to identify any misalignments with our values, empowering us to make conscious choices that lead us towards growth and self-fulfillment.

Understanding Ourselves through Mental Functions in Buddhism:

In Buddhism, mental functions play a crucial role in understanding ourselves and our actions. The five Universal Mental Functions (Attention, Contact, Sensation, Perception, and Volition) interact with the five Particular Mental Functions (Intention, Determination, Mindfulness, Concentration, and Insight) to shape our thoughts, behaviors, and experiences.

Through the interplay of these mental functions, we can investigate the root causes of our actions and discern their ethical implications. By cultivating mindfulness and insight, we develop the ability to observe our thoughts and intentions with clarity and objectivity.

Week 5 Meditation Practice:

In our meditation practice this week, we will explore the power of self-awareness in understanding our intentions and aligning them with our values. Through guided mindfulness meditations, we will shine a light on our actions, thoughts, and motivations, bringing forth a deeper understanding of ourselves.

Through diligent self-inquiry, we will identify opportunities for growth and transformation, inviting a greater sense of worthiness and self-esteem. As we integrate diligence and integrity into our daily lives, we foster a profound connection with our authentic selves and cultivate a strong foundation for lasting self-worth.
